Q: Do you offer psychiatric therapy or assessments?

We only offer counselling. Please contact your GP if you require an assessment by a psychiatrist.

Q: Can I do counselling fortnightly or monthly?

We can only offer counselling on a weekly basis and it must be the same day and time each week

Q: How do I complain if I need to?

If you are not satisfied with our service, we would like to have the opportunity to put things right. There are a number of ways that you can let us know; Tell the person you have been working with Ask a member of staff for a complaint form Ask to speak to the Counselling Lead Contact the Shop via email, phone, or letter

Q: Can I see the things that may be noted about me?

Yes, speak to your counsellor or another member of the team. You are entitled to see your case records if you ever wish to. Your records are kept locked away and confidential at the centre.

Q: What if I don’t get along with my counsellor?

If you feel that things are not working for you, it’s ok to speak to your counsellor or another member of the team and you will be helped to change your counsellor.

Q: Will anyone know I am in counselling or what I tell my counsellor?

No, not unless you tell them to. Your counselling is confidential and so is what you speak to your counsellor about. In very extreme circumstances where there is concern for you or someone else, we may have to share the problem with other professionals, and we would always try to discuss this with you first.

Q: How often are counselling sessions?

Counselling sessions will be once a week and will last for 50 minutes.

Q: Do I have to pay?

All of our services are free for anyone aged between 11-25.
